Traditional cyclic steam stimulation methods face significant operational limitations, including restricted heating radii and low oil recovery rates. These limitations are often exacerbated by high interfacial tension, which traps immobile oil within reservoirs, greatly restricting cumulative oil production. Synergetic's Enercat™ technology directly addresses these challenges by effectively reducing interfacial tension, thereby significantly enhancing oil mobility and boosting overall recovery efficiency.
Core Issue

Problem

The CDU 203H well faced extreme paraffin deposition, causing frequent premature well pulls, high costs from regular hot water and chemical treatments, and substantial production downtime. Paraffin deposition had become a persistent operational challenge, negatively affecting productivity and economic performance.
Solution & Results
To address these severe paraffin issues, Devon Energy installed three Enercat Tubing Tools below the Seating Nipple (SN) at approximately 10,121 feet Measured Depth (MD). The Enercat tools effectively prevent paraffin buildup by disrupting wax crystallization at a molecular level, thus eliminating the need for additional chemical or thermal remediation.
100%
reduction in chemical and hot water treatments post-installation.
0 days
of production downtime related to paraffin issues following installation.
32 and 131-day
rod evaluations demonstrated completely clean rods without any additional treatments.
